Have a look at this - it is free and excellent.
You can batch rename tracks and you can also get it to look up album tracks on freedb.com - no typing in all the tracks :)
I have also had major probs with PM, but did the same thing with partitions ie -
C for XP Pro (OS)
D for Program files
E and F for storage
Then when I needed/wanted to reinstall XP, only C was affected without having to reload all the apps again.
Works for me.
Sorted it - went through Device Manager and then through all the ATI stuff and pointed to the driver on the HD I had downloaded from ati.com.
Plain sailing from there on, then the control panel etc installed after that.

Having a prob here with the VGA card - had to reinstall Win Xp Pro and now the VGA card is not recognised.
I have looked on google and seen that quite a few people have had a similar message, but there have not been any suggestions for fixing it.

Had to do a reinstall of WinXP Pro and no longer have the smooth scrolling happening.
When I move the scroll bar at the side or move a window around the screen it jumps, and is not smooth.
Not sure if it is my screen/ATI card whatever - any easy tips??

Dunno what dynamic discs are ViperSnake - ideally would like not to reinstall XP unless necessary, but will do so if that helps to clear up some rubbish and useless files.

I have XP Pro and Win98 dual boot on a 20Gig HD partitioned into 4 equal sectiond. However the XP (D drive) only has 700MB left on it, hence my question:
