Good Luck getting those drivers installed. I have tried numerous times, following directions from different locations on the net. No good....
My monitor also fickers (bottom right corner). The Nvidia drivers will not "automatically" load or load through the setup (32/64bit). I have even tried...
I will preface this post with this thought.
Everyone has their opinions, each their own and each different in some way, especially when speaking about politics and religion.
I find it a bit sad that we, as people, just looking for a site where we can all be as one with each other would...
Before selecting either one, consider your bandwidth requirements. USB1.1 is obviously much slower than that of USB2. It doesn't matter what your comps USB is rated at, what does matter is the rating of your router/switch/hub or whatever device you may have in your network. The slowest link in...
Thanks for your assistance, I'm not looking forward to pulling the new nVidia card, but if it has to be, it has to be. I really thought I should have purchased the AIW card but didn't know about it until it was too late.
Thanks again,
Just wondering if someone could educate me in the ways of the "Personal Cinema"?
I am new to "high end" video, read a bit about it, but this is the first system I've purchased with anything that matters.
I want to hook my box to my TV/Stereo Receiver/Cable/DVD etc. so I may use it as the...
Okay, now we are speaking the same language. I agree with you when you are speaking about remote installation and it giving you the option to make changes on the fly.
Later...
I am not going to argue that but you'd have to show me that one. I have done this multiple times and I don't know how you would/could image an entire computer, load the image onto another computer and then not have the same computer name. If you are saying that you could change the name name...
Can anyone tell me what the max number of users to access a computer running XP Pro or Home would be (via network)? This would not be file sharing, but actually loggin into or accessing the computer itself via a small network. I was told that it was five and that the XP OS would not allow any...
If you used any type of imaging software to load the computers, the computer name would be the same. In other words, make sure that none of the computers share the same name or the name that you are trying to use is not already in the server. If you used the same computer name previously along...
The last several posts are correct, however you can do the 10GB partition and using it for the OS only. The problem pointed out about the disk crash and then having to re-load the games/programs etc is no different regardless of the physical/logical disk you install them on unless of course the...
I need to understand something to be clear. Do you have a switch or a hub in the system with the router? This can make a difference eventually with speed sharing etc.
Yes, I agree with your analogy, mostly. I strongly believe that you need to disable your MAC cloning address on the router...
I just purchased a system with the following specs. Could someone tell me if I can also install and run a ALL-IN-WONDER VE PCI card (built on the 7500 series only 64MB) in my box. I like the features that it has for the TV side and the RF remote that they offer with the deal. I have my box in...
I feel overeducated now
Wow! Can't say I've been so entertained in forum that pertained to video cards.
So what cards do you guys like anyway?
Okay, I'm being a jacka**, just havin' fun.
Take care and truely, thanks, you guys did educate me.
I too have this problem with my linksys router. I didn't have this problem until recently when AT&T was taken over by Comcast. I have to cycle the router and occasionally do the release and renew via the cmd window so everything is sync'd up. I don't have any option in my setup or advanced...
JW,
Thanks for all the info, I started to fool around with yahoo's stuff but I see the problems you wrote about. I will check into some of the pay programs, sometimes they're a bit better. I did do a search but I like to get everyone's opinion, especially knowing alot here have or do use this...
The reason you can still retrieve info from a formatted hard drive is this: When you re-format a drive that had data (any files) on it. The actual drive is not erased in the true sense of the word. The FAT is changed and each "pointer" of each sector is changed to essentially show that there...
Okay, I assuming that you mean you bought two of these cards "off the shelf". In this case, you can use both of these on the same network because they will have different MAC address. The addresses should show differently in HEX format. The last portion of the address being the serial number(s).
