If you're looking for a good laptop brand, I would go with either an HP or a Toshiba. The two brands are very reputable and I would personally get them.

Those specs are good enough to play, but you should stick with the lower settings. The graphics settings mainly depends on the resolution and never put AA.

The Abit IP35 Pro is a nice mobo and i would just wait for the 9450 rather than the 9300.

The 64-bit OS for the most part is pretty reliable. It is just on some occasions that something doesn't work.

Currently, I only use vlc and cccp (mpc). The rest of the video players i don't bother with anymore, probably until either vlc or cccp doesn't work with my computer anymore.

Yea. The LG one was nice. A few months back, I had to choose between that LG and my current Samsung 226BW. I chose the Samsung over it and didn't regret it. I have a friend that has the LG monitor and it works extremely well.

Yea its a good choice. Right now I have a Samsung 226BW and i have no regrets. The 2253BW is a newer revision with better standard contrast ratio.

I still don't get y there is so much hype going on about the 9800GTX. It is basically a slightly improved and overclocked version of the 8800GTS (G92). Thats prob y i recently bought a 8800GTS (G92). You also get to save yourself about $80 to $100.

Starcraft should count because you can play on BNet or over LAN with your friends. You would also be using teamwork against the opposing team. Also, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 came out a couple of weeks ago and it has a co-op campaign and a co-op terrorist hunt.

Mainly people choose 32 bit over 64 bit because of software compatibility. A lot of software is not 64 bit compatible yet right now.

Thanks for the compliment Mizzle. Thats the main thing I hate about laptops, they have crappy video graphics for games. The laptops that do have a good video card are often very very pricey.

Usually people tend to go with a 32 bit OS because there is more compatibility compared to a 64 bit OS. There is no need to go into 64 bit unless you have more than 3.29 or 3.19 gb of ram. Go with the 32-bit xp.
