Anyone come across drivers for this IDE card that work with Windows XP-64.. Have searched the net for ages.... no joy so far :( Have four drives on this card, so I need to use it !!! Any help appreciated.

Not an expert in this area :) .... but I don't think its possible for a pc to ping itself. Machines on my network can't anyway !!

You're right about the codecs from DVD proggy's. It does use them. But for some reason they canotloadthem into "conversion" proggy's !!

Just starting using Media Centre 2005. Am knocked out by its simplicity!! Love the TV recording, but the files are MASSIVE!!! Anyone come across a decent util to convert these files to DivX/XivD to save a disk space ?? Have tried all my "normal" stuff that I use for MPEG1/2/4 but nothing...

Are you using a 64 bit CPU .... if so, it may nned a bios update to handle DEP. My laptop had similar probs..... bios update fixed it.

You don't say what mobo you are using. Just done an instal to SATA on an ABIT AV8 (VIA) 939 mobo. It does not need any drivers instaling. If I install the sata raid drivers, the single sata drive vanishes !!!!

Love too, but my understanding is they will NOT support AGP Graphics... Or am I missing something ??? The challenge is I do not want to upgrade my 6800 Card which is only a couple of monthe old... If i wait too long, there will be no AMD 63 bit AGP boards out there !!! Currently...

For backups I use PQ Drive Image. Friendlier than ghost. Have a small additional boot partition on a second HD... boot from that (swtich in bios) then image my main drive to the second drive.. Makes it real easy if anything major goes wrong...I also Iamge the small boot partition from my main...

My main legit copy of XP-Pro had no problems with keys. A second version on another "test partition" did. Its a Retail version using Reset5.01. Asked me to re-enter key and re-activate. No probs, just use it for testing out new proggys etc. Had to "update" to a corp version, then all was Ok.
