when installing nvidia drivers always uninstall the old ones first delete the card from the device manager reboot in vga mode,let windows reinstall the card then install the new drivers

did you uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones nvidia is very picky about this

i use the creative recorder that comes with sb and set it to what you hear

use the 98 boot disk to repartion and reformat

do a repair from the cd boot from the cd choose install when the first repair option comes up ignore continue with install when it finds the previous installation then choose repair
