Is a 6800 Ultra really worth it over a GT?

IF BFG Cards can be purchsed in New Zealand which I think are not. Leadtek's a good choice. I own one and it rocks

    SLI...ATI Compatible?

The problem with Gigabyte's method well not problem but limitations of the PCIE chipsets at the moment is say you did put 2 3D1 cards together for a 2Xdual GPUs and it well worked..but it would work with one GPU recieving only 4X PCIe lanes. With SLI on consumer motherboards, when in SLI...

Help needed ASAP on building SLI system

There will soon be motherboards for Intel CPus with 2 X 16X PciE graphics port for SLI. They will debut around Cebit and be on sale after that. The FX53 is multiplier unlocked and the 4000+ isn't. That only comes into play when overclocking.

    6600 GT vs 6800

Not really, BFG OC runs out of spec of thebox to what they determine is safe levels. The sec u go beyond that you void your warranty with BFG. ;)

    6600 GT vs 6800

ya, 6800 Gt is the 4 quad (16 pixel procesing pipelined) with 6 Vertex shading units GPU whereas the 6800 is a 3 quad (12 pixel processing pipelined) with 5 Vertex Shading units GPU. Performance between the GT and Ultra and sometimes negligible. :D

    6600 GT vs 6800

In short, The wider the memory interface and faster the memory can operate at, means the faster performance you will get with MSAA. SSAA requires better fillrate.

    6600 GT vs 6800

I beg to differ ;) 8X AA on 6600GT etc do not work properly. The 8X aa doesn't get applied but a lower AA method does. It has been documented at Overclocker's cafe too.

Difference between 6800 GT and 6800 Ultra

One of the major differencies is the latencies in memory which is lwoer for the Gt than the Ultra.

    Sli

You need a motherboard with NForce SLi chipset with 2 X 18 PCI Express graphics ports. In all benches, the 6600GT SLi config was about on par with the 6800 GT...at lower resolutions. At higher resolutions and AA and AF applied, the single 6800 GTs were faster IIRC. However, Anandtech, Tom's...

Evga Nvidia 6800 128mb Review (well kinda)

You will always find a performance hit with antialiasing and anisotropic filtering enabled. The higher the level themore the hit. The graphics on Doom III and Half life 2 should be different from the FX5600. as with that card, those games default to lower in game settings cutting out effects...

    6600 GT vs 6800

Just FYI, the GeForce 6800 is a 3 quad processing GPU with a 256 bit memory interface. The 6600GT is a 2 quad processing GPU with a 128 bit memory interface. Although the fillrate is higher i the 6600GT, it's memory is still somehwat limited by the 128 bit memory interface. That means...

    Nvidia SLI

I think you have been misinformed. There is no form of SLI withAGP.Even though AGP 3.0 specs allow for more than one AGP port onamotherboard, no such motherboards have been designed or releasedforthe desktop. To answer the original posters question. SLI is only feasable with PCIexpress setups...

    Graphic Card Recommendation

Leadtek's cooling solution is very quiet! If you are looking for a quiet solution Leadtek's maybe the way to go. I have had my Leadtek A400 Ultra for a few months and it's been all good!
