I am planning on buying a new laptop..What can you guys recommend that I buy?
Laptops with
-built in camera
-lots of memory
-lightweight (I'm tiny so I want to carry something small and handy)
-fast
-not too expensive (about $300 - $500)

My friend recommend this black friday sales: Black Friday 2009 Sale Informatio @ bestbuy

what should I watch out and which one should i choose?

Please help. I am clueless about buying laptops.

Almost anything from Acer has everything you need. If possible, get one that has an ATI or Nvidia graphics adapter. Avoid Intel GMA graphics and Atom processors. You're almost guaranteed to find one under $500 right now.

FYI you might be interested in this article ASUS best, HP worst for notebook reliability. I had a friend buy an Asus gaming-capable laptop last year and he loves it.

had no issues with my hp laptop - well apart from the adaptor, but that was replaced under warranty

I have a neighbor who had a ton of trouble with her HP laptop. Ended up with replacing parts of it and then the whole thing under warranty. Of course you can take this for what's it worth because she is one of these people who shouldn't own a computer because they are dangerous on them. Everything is always going wrong on any computer she touches.

I remember when her husband was trying to make free hard drive space on the desktop I overhauled for them by outright deleting (not even uninstalling) such casual things such as antivirus. ROFL!
