I need to buy a laptop for the family which must be able to run games such as SIMs and other stuff. SIMS seems quite intense on processing so the machine cannot be a wimp! I've been looking at this Dell :£637 all in Dell™ Vostro 1510 NB Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T5870 (2.0 GHz, 2 MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB), Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium SP1 - English, 256 MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8400M GS (64 bit) Graphic Card, 320GB (5400rpm) SATA Hard Drive, 4096MB (2x2048) 667MHz DDR2 Dual Channel Which seems reasonably spec'd. Is it? I've lost touch a bit recently so any pointers in this market would be useful. Cheers Mubbers |

Vostro is Dell's business line up. XPS is their gaming series.
Anythig Dell or HP (HDX are the high-end gaming laptops) is good these days. I'd say HP have the edge though. SIMS is processor intensive, though a core 2 duo will eat it for breakfast with the whole australian outback to spare
