Default Rechargable Camera batteries

Thought I saw a recomendation for these batteries here, but a search doesn't find the thread.
Anyone have recomendations for long lasting rechargable digital camera batteries?

If you're talking about AA batteries, look for those that are 2500mah. These have the highest capacity so should last much longer than the cheaper ones.
Don't know where you live so not sure what brands are available in your area.

When you do buy these batteries, make sure you buy a recharger that supports such high capacity batteries, otherwise standard ones will only do half recharge... typically upto 1300mah.

Curent system:
Intel Quad Core 9450 | 4GB RAM | WD Raptor 36GB | nVidia 8800GT 512mb

Nickel metal hydrides are the best, as these retain no memory. However, they do lose their charge over time compared to lithium rechargelables. Other than that what Ming says.

There was I thread under news (I posted it).

http://forum.osnn.net/showthread.php...ight=batteries

There are 2 new types of NiMH batteries on the market.
-They have a 12 month shelf life and higher capacity.
-They work with any standard NiMH charger.
-Costs are higher than standard NiMH but should go down. Shop for price. I was surprised that Ritz price beat Circuit City.

I'm using a set now and am pleased.

Thought for the new millenium:

In a world without walls and fences, who needs Windows and Gates?

- Open Office - Firefox - Thunderbird - Gimp -Ubuntu - Red Hat -
