I don't know if anyone else has heard about this yet, either here on these boards or elsewhere. I just found this on HoFo (special thanks to sanman951), and IT WORKS!!!! It changes the stupid orange outer lcd screen back to your inside wallpaper, and it resizes it so it looks better too!!

Seem 2742, Record 0001, Offset 0094 (enter 00 in Bytes(h) to see it), Uncheck Bit 7 so that it is OFF.

Sure it goes back to an itty-bitty picture, but until someone figures out how to change the color or how to put a different wallpaper on the outer lcd, it won't be orange.

and I've also heard that the outer walpaper gets distorted a little more than previous fw versions, but like you said, it won't be orange.

I like the orange its easy on the eyes when you look at the time, i think this is why verizon used this color.

Yes, it could be. My wallpaper has a lot of white in it, so when compressed on the outer lcd, the black time on the white background make for a very clear contrast. I prefer it that way since a good bit of work I do is outdoors and I typically don't wear a watch, the contrast makes it very easy to see the time clearly.

Of course now I may just make a few solid color background pics so that I can view the contrasts to see which I like best. Maybe have a casual dining background, a formal wear background.......

You will need the programs: PST and P2KSeem

Both are available (PST, search for it) and P2Kseem is in the stickies at the top of this forum. Follow the detailed installations provided by Venom and Technokid that you'll find and you will see it's very easy. They enter the seem in the first post of this thread, and PRESTO, bye bye orange screen!
