Default yay for ipod battery

http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-10165_7...?tag=cnetfd.sd

^ cnet has a nice little article/video there that tells u how to replace ur battery

And you can find different replacements online. I think i might get the battery from PDAsmart because its 950mAh and supposedly 50% more than the original.

well i just thought i'd share that info with u guys

that vid is only for the 1G and 2G models, just looking at the 4G I cant see how the metal backing is going to come off either, thats one of the things I have noticed about the three pieces of apple hardware which I have (iPod, iBook, iSight) is that from just looking at them it is very hard to see how they would really come apart easily.

Yeah this is to no doubt keep you from buying 3rd party replacement parts and then breaking something and trying to have Apple replace it is my guess.

iBook is easy to take apart, just remove the rubber feet, and get a screwdriver, and unscrew the screws. After that it is a matter of getting the thing off properly, which is IMHO the hard part, as it is clipped down.

Yeah, it's called an iScrewDriver.
It's white, it's pretty, it costs twice as much as any other screwdriver, and it only works with Apple's products.
