Thanks for ****ing up counter-strike for those of us who have been playing since the first beta through 1.6.

As much as I detest WoW, they don't ****ing destroy the whole game like you wankers have a tendency to do.

Said my bit, going to go play PREY now.

Ha! that's fooked. but does prices down (hopefully) on weapons used less often. Don;t like the idea... Valve, it's ONLY a game ffs!!

EDIT: I wonder how they calculate the prices then... do they record all purchases and base calculations on the purchases for current round/current map or entire life since the cvar is added/enabled?

Every 24 hours game servers send purchase data. Then every week on monday prices are altered based on 'global market demand'.

I personally don't mind the idea, although I don't really play much CS anymore. The weapon listing in the first link above shows exactly what everyone already knows: people buy armor, M4's, AK's, HE's, Flashbang's and Desert Eagle's. They're the only items that have gone up in price ^_^ Desert eagle is projected to go up 74% from $650 to $1131.

Whether it'll be taken up by most I don't know but it's an interesting idea nonetheless. I think Valve have definitely made the right decision in not making it mandatory.

I think ALL of you minus Sazar are probably missing the point... you can kill someone and take their weapon once dead... thats NOT IT...

THE MAIN THING THEY MESSED UP ARE THE BUY MENUS and SUBMENUS

all the choices are 100% completely different...

SO F-ing STUPID!

EDIT: if they wanted to change STEAM for the positive, they would set it up so that our auto-buys stay with our profile... our favorites can be saved on our profile... I mean how hard could it F-ING be... really??

Thanks buddy, you're correct.

I've been playing forever. I don't use buy scripts because I know exactly what I want and use the old school buying method.

Since the original beta I've been using this, re-learning ONLY when new weapons came out.

They changed everything and its bull.

For those who will inevitably say its not a big deal... I play on very competitive servers with no buy time. Therefore, it IS a very, VERY big deal.

Don't think I use scripts, but I normally just press W and a Number to buy my weapons. Haven't noticed the menu come up because I press the combination of buttons very fast.

NO... the DWP is optional... the buy menu changes are not, at least thats how I understand it...

You just didnt make new bind scripts? the old ones should still work in the new system. bind "F1" "buy chickengun"

Either way it's a piss off from what I understand. I haven't played for almost a year if I wanted to get back into it I would probably be all confused now, WTF!

I never used binds previously. I used in-game buy menu's via short-cuts only.

binds are faster, just hit a button and you can buy everything you want

Zeke, I never used binds while gaming in cs source, even when competitively playing because it was a sense of pride for me to be able to whoop up on people without using all kinds of crazy shortcuts

And now I am out of the loop, perfectly happy playing cs soccer which is an absolute BLAST

Regarding the Zune Update, haven't touched my zune since I got my phone. I might look to sell it for cheap. Anyone want it for a buck 50 with the a/v cable kits n stuff? Let me know
