Last night was the first time I had a rating of more kills than deaths.. I was stoked!!

Lol, man so many posts, so little time ROTF

Um, ok well tips.

• Always listen, headphones are the best tools, listen and react to your surrroundings.
• Use your surroundings to your advantage. Take cover and use cover and various spots on a map to take out the enemy discretely.
• Learn your weapons. Every weapon has a different feel and a different way to use it. I am proficient in using an AK, M4A1, AWM, pump shotty, deagle, MP5, scout and especially grenades Those are my weapons of choice. I can use others, I choose not to.
• Never follow in a straight line. You lineup perfectly for a spraying Noob with ridiculous luck
• Never run in a straight line. Straffing when running makes you a harder target.
• Learn to shoot properly. Straffe, stop and pop, straffe, stop and pop. Accuracy is best when you are crouching but this doesn't mean you can't be lethal while standing too. Again, this goes back to learning your weapon.
• Use flashes judiciously. In fact, don't use flashes at all. More team-mates die from retards on their team team-flashing than from friendly fire. It's a fact.
• Don't use smokes grenades unless you know what you are doing.
• Learn to RUSH and learn the quick/buy keys as well. I play on a server with 0 second buy time (as you know Mlarkid) and it is brutal if you are slow.
• Practise if possible a little if you want to get better by playing against the bots.
• Don't be afraid. No matter how bad you think you are, there is usually somoene worse. Also, everyone started at some point. If you are scared for your stats, you are not going to suceed.
• PLAY WITH HONOR. Team stackers and auto-noobs are the worst of the worst. Don't become one. Also there are plenty of servers out there. Don't feel you have to take the abuse on any given server when you can simply log off and log onto another.

Sazar's number one is the most important. You'd never imagine what you will learn to hear and use as strategy by paying more attention to your headphones.

don't hold the fire mouse button down. Tap a few bullets at a time until you learn to spray! It comes in handy when there are multiple opponents

ok, i never seem to get an answer on this in-game so i will ask here.
What is a strafe modifier/what does it do?

Allows you to control strafing.

Basically instead of moving side to side, you will probably turn in that direction with this on. Thats my guess anyways.

What is the best weapon, (and yes I know this is subjective to personal opinion) for having good accuracy for both short- medium range.

Like that would have say a 2x zoom... not quite as big a zoom as a sniper rifle but decent.... and could still be used for medium range to close quarters battle Is my point?

Also this may be a dumb question but how do you bind keys so that after you fire your sniper it changes to your secondary weapon of choice? without using the number keys nad hving to switch manually?

Ok I did better last night, on a server with clan members who were all working as VERY organized goups I think in total I was about:

1 kill for every 2 to 3 deaths, which you all may laugh at but I dont know the maps yet and where people hide, I was being very cautious and when I would sneak upto a room, BAM! a shot in the head... man that sucked... Anyway...

Do you guys know any sites that are great repositories of information? I am a VERY fast learner, and I want to play this on a more proficient level.

Anymore tips or suggestions that havent been covered here?

Here are 2 dumb questions:
1) If I want to drop something, bomb, grenade etc, without using it, how do you do that?
2) If you see something you want to pick up, how do you pick it up?

yeah you can create a game right on your own machine, start game, go to create game and there you go.

Also www.csnation.net has some guides and links to guides for maps and gameplay.

but I want to simulate me vs say 2 GOOD opponents is there a way to make the bots smarter? or should I just keep adding bots?

I like adding like 3 bots but putting them on tougher and tougher skill levels as I play.

Fyi, the bots hack because they will automatically know EXACTLY where you are so you might not want to put max settings.

I am just saying play against bots so you can learn about the maps and learn how to shoot and discover new positions and practise different weapons.

It will make you a better player.

was at that Christian server you(Sazar) play at today and was doing pretty well, some good competition and for once no idiots with porn sprays and no swearing

too bad I don't play that often or I would play there all the time

Well Sazar I learned ver quickly what you mean about the bots knowing where you are...

I did well against them at normal level, I scored at or just below even by the end of the night... I lost the matches but had more kills than losses, they kept diffusing my bombs.. but I was able to kill them..

Quick question, I wanted to make it just a bit harder without increasing difficulty, so is there a way to make the bots be on the opposing team from a human player?

I.E. instead of making to where they have to be T or CT and I choose the other side, make it random, and as soon as I spawn they spawn on the opposite team?
