The character level limit is 60.

However if I understand everything correctly you can only have up to 10 characters per server and on PVP servers they can only be of the same faction.

i don't actually know anyone here in the states, just my wife and her family, so cant borrow it from anyone.

what i cant understand is that the game costs $50 to buy which is ludicrous when yuor paying a sub each month it should be $20

ok got WOW from a great friend with a free 10 day trail, so i'll install it tonight, thats if the wife doesn't want some long talk about where we are heading.... anyway .... perhaps i'll see some of you.

For the best experience don't pick a server with high population. My main server, Skullcrusher, has high population 24hrs a day and we get frequent lag and nightly server crashes. My alt is on Gorefien, its a low population server, and wow is there a difference. Gameplay is smooth with no lag and I have yet to have the server crash while I was playing.

well i installed the game last night, just didn't have time to create and account, no doubt the patching will take 2yrs, although i have a 4mbit connect, so lets hope its not too long.

don't use the blizz updater its crap....even with all my ports forwarded I still only get 10-15kb/s download speeds, and I have a 4mbit connection also.

Faster to get it from 3dgamers, downloads.com, fileplanet, etc....

Is 1.3 the most up-to-date patch?

1.3 is the latest patch. All of the above mentioned sites have the update from 1.2.4 to 1.3.0 and the full 1.3.0 patch. I downloaded it from fileplanet and got the patch in about 5 mins, but since fileplanet is a pain i'd recommend getting it from 3dgamers.com.
