My shell is Konsole under KDE

I'm running FreeBSD 5.4

Does anybody know of a shell program (like Konsole) where the color changes depending on the type of file it is? For instance, regular files would be denoted white (on black), linked files denoted by red, and directories denoted by blue? Thanks in advance!

Ok, I found the problem why I couldn't use KDM. I was able to use XDM which was strange, so I fooled around with the KDM configuration and found an option in kdmrc where it says on a line something similar to: AllowRootLogin: False So, I changed it to true and am able to use KDM to login.

I'm confused why I can use startx and startkde from users other than root. When I try running these commands as root it returns the DRIScreenInit Failed. Disabling DRI. Also, I think this may be linked to a permissions problem because when I am inside KDE with another use, I cannot su or...

Wow! Awesome tutorial! I checked the task manager and instead ofusing up about 20mb of my system memory, it's now only using 7mb. I'll have to see if there will be any performance decreases whileplaying video games. Games like Warcraft are perfect forlistening to music

When outside of CS, do a ctrl+alt+del and see if there is a program running that is hogging system resources. My guess is maybe you have a virus or spyware that is hogging your system specs.

Does your Bios detect this hard drive to be 80 GB? If not, you should probably return the hard drive. If Bios does pick it up as an 80, it looks like you'll have to partition this hard drive outside of Windows. It can be a little tricky, and I haven't done a manual partition with Windows XP...
