I just got 2x512 sticks of PC3500 Kingmax memory from Newegg... all the the reviews there gave it high marks, so I decided to pick it over the PC3200 Geil Golden Dragons... however I pop them in and Windows fails to start... I've tried even with the timings at 8,5,5,3.0 and it still won't...
Thanks, I figured it out... at one point someone(probably my brother) minimized an IE window all the way to a pixel and therefore I couldn't see it when it was supposed to be there... it's all fixed now =)
When I click on a link in a website that opens another IE window the button shows up in the taskbar but the actual window won't pop-up... I have to right-click the button in the taskbar and select maximize for it to pop-up... I've already restarted and already ran ad-aware... what else could be...
When I used to go to a site, I'd type in, for example, "NBA" in the address bar and then press Ctrl+Enter which would then automatically add the www. and .com to the address... but now that doesn't seem to work for me... is there an option in IE that turns this off or something?
I have Winamp 2.9x... is there an option to make it so that Winamp ignores all Id3 tags and just displays the songs in my playlist as their filenames? I thought I saw an option for that somewhere before but can't seem to find it now...
Ok well update: Taurus had told me to do the same thing you said and I got the error message and I guess the nForce2 and Geforce drivers had some kind of conflict because when I reformatted I installed them both at the same time before restarting =) So I just bit my lip and reformatted again...
I did a fresh install of XP Pro yesterday, however twice last night and twice today the monitor went black and the computer restarted on its own for no reason... and yes I've installed the nForce2, video and monitor drivers... any idea why this is happening?
