Alright guys, long time no visit. But, I'm back; with the intention to update. It's been almost two years since I posted the original guide here. It's badly in need of a massive update, espically in this since Vista has been released. So, I'm open to suggestions, and I'll need quite a lot of them.
Jee, it only came out yesterday. :p
But yeh, I plan to replace MS AntiSpyware info with Defender info. MS also have a few installation/usage guides which I'll add too.
I might add the paragraph about forums etc.., but that may be at a later date.
Assuming I'm the op? I check this site everyday...
I've just added a massive update and reworded most of the thread.
I've rejiged the firewall and antivirus bit. Added service pack 2 info, ccleaner, hijack this. And much more. I worked most of this afternoon to do this, so please, gimme some feedback. :)
-Enjoy!
I can. :)
Couldn't you just buy a cheap 256MB DIMM, and use it for a while?

Something like that.
Em...Thanks? I suppose some of that is true, but I generally don't let any of the programs run fully in the background. I have 1GB of RAM, and my system generally uses 230MB with firewall and antivirus.
Personally, I dislike AVG. But, it's free. And from what I've heard, it's the best free one. If the max message length is increased, I'd edit the message with some more AV scanners.
Also, I use Symantec Client Security - which includes NAV 9. I think NAV 9 is the best.
