From the Host I can ping the client, but not vice versa? a bit weird???

I have just pulled out the wireless nodes.(and thrown them in the bin) I now have a host connected to the net via cable modem - -connected to a switch -- connected to a client via network card. Still no internet on the client. they identify each other but the internet gateway is not showing...

It would come back sometimes with a re boot of the PC connected to the Net. But now it does not.
