My email account being used to spoof?

Unfortunately my e-mail is publicly available on several webpages. There are stretches of time when I will get a thousand of these a day (I assume from one particular round of spamming. But usually its just a hundred or so a day (130 today) It will only get worse for you :)

    adding to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\host"

nslookup for me shows L2authd.lineage2.com lives at 206.127.151.66 It seems odd that they would ask everyone to change their host file instead of just changing their DNS. Is it possible that someone is trying to point you to a scam page?

    Maximum CAT5e cable length?

I've never had a problem with 3 foot cables before. If you browse around some commercial sites you can see options to buy them in 1 foot lengths. I suppose that if you got too small (inches) then the twists wouldn't function. {full-disclosure} my last sentence was 89% guessing

hub to hub .. do i need crossover cable? and cable length for Access point..

Am I missing something? Router to switch/hub is a strait through cable. Router to router or switch/hub to switch/hub is a cross over cable. Some of the commercial routers have little hubs built into them (if the router has more than one LAN interface then it probably is a hub) In this case...

    Bridging

This would depend on where the WAN connections are terminated, you should ask NTL. This will not make it load balance. The only way I know of to do actual "load balancing" (not round robing or asymmetric routing) is to use BGP. This requires enterprise level hardware and knowledge.

LINKSYS BEFW11S - how to secure the line?

In addition to enabling WEP you should also: (1) Change the SSID and disable its broadcast (2) Disable DHCP on the wireless router (3) Implement an access-list, probably by allowing only your MAC address (4) Make sure SNMP is disabled on the router

    Maximum CAT5e cable length?

I'm getting off topic here.... Thats a very generic statement that probably doesn't apply so much to readers of this forum. Out of the box configurations on wireless APs have gotten many people in trouble, but generally some very simple steps (WEP, disable SSID, MAC filtering) can greatly...

    Maximum CAT5e cable length?

100 meters is the rule, but on a practical note I've had runs upwards of 170 meters with a fairly constant connection. In fact we (USMC) had one run that was longer than 100 meters (can't remember how long exactly) but it went along a ditch, through a culvert under a dirt road that had...
