According to MS;
The registry entries are DWORD values. A value of 1 is enabled, and a value of 0 is disabled.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer Registry Value:"NoSimpleStartMenu"

This is what I originally thought, but the setting doen't seem to work. i.e users can change back to classic and setting remains even after they logoff/logon.

Venom - It's all to do with giving the user base a standard apearance so that Help Desk always have the same options to guide them through.
