thanks for the help guys. Turns out the myodbc driver is a piece of junk. I had to download an archived version and now it works.

I have set priveleges and access. VB still can't find the server on my local machine. I have tried using localhost as the server name and the computer name itself. Niether works! Thanks for the help so far, but it still doesn't work.

I want to connect a mySQL database to a VB program. mySQL is running on my host machine. The problem is that I'm nt sure what to use for the server name in the connection string. I am very new at this (2 days) so I need a little help. I tried using myodbc but it just gives me an error...

I have been gone a while. He does have the coaxle cable for the hookup. What I was really worried about was lag between the PS2 and the PC. I kinda figured there would be a sligh delay from input to actually seing the result. This would be a bad thing for most games. Thanks for the help guys!

Quick question... Can I hook a PS2 up to a PCI TV tuner? My little brother has a huge monitor (bigger than his TV) and he wants to use a TV tuner so he can play his PS2 on a bigger screen. So will it work?

Does anyone know a way to change the color of the start button without using apps like themeXP? Maybe a registry hack or something. Thanks for the help guys!
