I am not sure what you are completely saying, but SATA Hard drives are just drives that are on a different cable (SATA cable) and they have a faster transfer rate (10,000 rpm). I think you are thinking about RAID, that setup allows you to dupilicate your main hard drive to your secondary one. :)
im lookin for speed here, I header the SATA Raptor Hard Drives are lightening fast...
I see what you mean about downgrading to save money, but its not much cheaper...I myself just bought the Gforce 5600, 256 mb ram, ddr
I see what you mean, but in 6 months from now, you'll say to yourself "in 6 more months it will be faster" - my rule of thumb is to double my processor speed when I want to upgrade... so 1.7 to 3.0 sounds good to me...
well as of right now, im re-using some parts from my machine for my computer, but im also building a new computer for my friend. I was also thinkin of getting a 256 card for him as well, I got a GForce 5600 256 mb ram, and it wasn't a bad price. Actually mine was cheaper than the 128 mb one...

nice site, i guess workstations are not meant for dual processors...
I wanted a dual processor because I really like the speed, whats a good processor to overclock?
yeah, I could understand that... are their any dual processor motherboards that are meant for worksation use. I could only find dual p3 motherbords, but they don't make the chips fast enough..
steve
I want to build a new machine, and I am looking at getting a dual xeon P4, or just a P4 3.0g processor.
What do you guys think of the Xeons? this is what I was looking at:
