They need to put Invader Zim on there.

The world needs more Zim.

Except Southpark, nothing too special.

They need more current tv shows such as 24, and Family Guy.

The TV companies are less willing to give up their current shows, if shows like Lost and Desperate House Wenches prove to be a worth while venture, then other companies will likely follow suit in releasing top-rated shows after they air.

In my eyes, doing so stops at least three people from torrent'ing them (Not I though), but we'll see how things shape up, more and more content is being added at the moment. Fun fun!

I don't really think it'll stop the torrents, unless we get HDTV quality downloads. But then you can't really watch HDTV resolution videos on an iPod. Even if you could, it would be pointless.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that we need HDTV quality video, but with the option to easily downgrade it to put it on something like an iPod.

I think the idea is that the quality is basically "watchable".

i.e. not good enough to be pirated, but good enough to satisfy the majority (And let's face it, the majority don't even know HD exists, and are happy to pay for, and watch crappy encodes).

The thing is, stick the encodes on the iPod video, show it on a standard TV, and the quality is perfect. We encoded video's at 400 KB/sec on h264, at the smaller iPod format, for my dad, and when we view it on the iMac, it looks ugly, pixelated and crap, but stick it on the iPod, and it looks awesome, stick it on the TV from the iPod and it looks perfect. Maybe not good enough for a 52" HDTV, but none the less, it works on standard TV's.
