Read the first questions thread thingie that is stickied at the top of the page in this category.
There is some indescrepency, but it should be no more than 4 GB if you add the coding tools like Xcode and whatnot. Also, possibly removing some of the free apps that come with your install, might clear it up just a bit. |

2.0GB, 3.5GB if you install all the developer tools. I'm sure it's all in the documentation that comes with OSX when you buy it
