hi,
i'm having problem with my linux. It seems tat i encounter problem whenever i boot up my linux. The boot up part which my problem starts is as below: Setting network parameters : OK Bringing up loopback interface : OK Bringing up interface eth0 : whenever my linux boot up until the third phase above, it'l hang ther for a few minutes. Then after a long time, it'l display "fail to bring up interface" & wil sucess to the GUI. i would like to know wat leads to this problem? & what's ur advice? thanks in advance.

basically the machine is waiting to get an IP from DHCP or something like that, and that is what is causing the pause

yeah, means you have to configure your network connection (eth0 is the name of your primary Ethernet Card)
