Default SuSE+Firewire? Linux+Firewire?

Hey all....

I was wondering if any of you fine peep's would know if Linux supports Firewire. I have been looking into SuSE and i already have a copy of Mandrake 9.0, and Redhat 8.0.

Many thanks.

Peace
