Comcast has 50 meg down and 10 meg up available !!!

I was looking at comcast deals in my area and they have 50 meg down and 10 meg up available now. Talk about trying to compete with fios. Seeing that it will be ten years before fios is available in my area; guess what I am trying to talk the wife into letting me get lol ..

Man that is awesome. $139.00 a month ...

I'm waiting for the company in Bristol to get their 100mbit/FD service up here

100mbit full duplex fibre would be nice

Man, all I got is 5mbit down and 800kbit up :S

At that rate, it would take you 11 hours and 6 minutes to hit your 250GB cap that comcast imposes.

Not sure if it's worth the $139 for 11 hours of downloading, albeit fast ones!

The website was saying about downloading media, gaming, and htpc use. So it is hard to say. But yes, you are right - with the limit they have imposed, you would hit it pretty fast. albeit; I don't download nearly as much as I used to, so the limit wouldn't affect me any. Plus for my work this speed would be awesome.
