is there any way to host a videogame server or some sort of ad supported something or other... any ideas? edit: ugh, i hate changing my mind on a title and then it ends up in such a poor gramatical state. |

I wonder if there are any contract stipulations that prevent a home-user from commercially utilizing the line? Or is that legal?

You can offer off-site backups to businesses for a fee. Let's just say I know someone who does it and it works well

Most contracts that you have with ISP's, especially if they are not a business customer make it against the AUP to host any servers or services. For example, with Cox, I am technically not allowed to host an SSH server or VPN server on my gateway machine. They could technically cut us off, or at least send us a threatening letter about it.
