Howdy from New Orleans!

Drove into New Orleans today with a friend to see the 1st round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. We'll see 4 games tomorrow and 2 games on Sunday, and I'll get back home on Monday. I'm also hoping to drive around to see some of the remnants of Katrina. If I see something interesting then I'll post pics for anyone interested.

the lost city of new orleans

My folks were over there a couple weeks ago for Mardi Gras, dad took some pretty shocking pictures of some of the devastation that is still there.

Enjoy the games and BTW - there is still devastation all over the Gulf Coast of Mississippi from Katrina!

Thanks, guys. 8+ hours of games to be at today -- will be fun rooting for the underdogs. I imagine some extremely unhealthy eating will be taking place as well.

I wouldnt mind some pics. Doesnt have to be anything somber. Some beautiful pics of some nice locales would be cool.

Not much of a drinker, actually. Never acquired the taste for it. I love me some Dr. Pepper, though!
