Cool Gmail Notifier and Mozilla Thunderbird?
i noticed this a couple of months ago but never got around to asking why, both programs make the exact same notifacation sound. and i also remember hearing it in a game if my memory serves me right.

I believe they just use the default system-specified mail notification sound, as do Outlook and Outlook Express.
Open up the Sound settings in Control Panel, and you should find the option there.
