Could be worse... In yester-years the only way on various forums to change one's user name was to create a new account. Post count and everything would be back to 0 leaving peeps thinking it is a new poster.

On forums where I had changed my user name as such...I don't think peeps ever recognized it was me. I did tend to finish up topics with the old name in those cases... Last time I changed my user name was around January/February 2003
