I've just been playing around with MySQL and PHP and have made (admitedly, based on someone else's original code) a webcam portal that people can use, just click here and you can add your own name/cam/url.

This is just a test to see how it works out, but will probably stay as I like the idea

Well, not many people have WebCam's and those who do, not all know how to setup an online pic etc.

So tell me I can get my hands on a webcam, I'd like a live image feed going online.

Well, get yer cam, plug it in, load drivers... All standard stuff.
Now comes the software you use, this is of course a personal choice thing. Personally I use ConquerCam, Once you've got that installed its all pretty simple, theres setup wizards to guide you through adding an FTP address etc.

You actually need to post a direct image to the picture/jpeg.

I've edited the database, it now works

I have got conquercam as well, great app. Got it doing my Rednose Cam at the mo, click the link in my Sig

that is a sweet idea but no people online and only 6 people on portal i aint got a web cam never thought of that but id have some interesting places to put it

Yeah, there's only 6 people at the moment which is why I posted, try a get a few more
It does seem that not many people have cams tho :confused:
