XP-ERIENCE & NTFS - opinion

September 17th, 2002

Please do NOT make the same mistake again and merge this site with another one. One blundering attempt was enough, it doesn't work. I think I speak for many if I say we want this site as it is, that's why we come here. Keep XP-Erience alive, and keep it real!

I can't believe people get so worked up about th name of the site, its the content and people on here that matter.

Saying that, Ultralord - Dominion of Darkness would be a cool name for the site...and a heavy metal band

What would sound better when you pass the word on to ya friends.. goto xp-erience.org or ntfs.org.. ?

I think xp-erience.org sounds much more interesting, besides which Im sure afew years ago there already was a site called ntfs!

well, my two cents;

I don't believe mercedes car owners go to a mechanic that is good enough to work on all cars.

I don't believe punk rockers like to go to a place that also has an easy listening portion of the complex.

some do, but most people go where they believe the specialists hang.

It doesn't matter that the specialists also hang at the compex, they still prefer there own club.

Either name is fine with me, my only hope is that I'm paying attention this time when ya make the move...when NTFS went down the other day, I missed out on the info about xsivforce's forum, so I never made it there. I ended up over at another forum--many from here were there also--it just wasn't the same, and it felt a bit like being at a daycare run by kids!

I'm agree the site I was at did seem to be run by folks who didn't know what they were really doing. I missed the info bout xsivforce's forum as well. And I'll say the site I was at one mod did try to make us displaced folks welcome but it wasn't the same. As far as a name for the site well I think NTFS would allow the site to cover more then just XP, but as far as that goes thats up to the mods/admins and the person paying for the hosting.

Hello everyone - nice to see you all back!

It's true what Dealer says about specializing.
XP-erience is by far my favorite site for XP related news and for seeking advice from knowledgeable moderators and posters.

The only reason I lucked into this site was because I did a google search to find out more about my new operating system. NTSF never even made the XP search list. So I'm glad you went back to the old name. And by the way thanks for coming back! I was already suffering from withrawal. The site looks even better than before!
