Default video card
what kind of video card should i get? the one i have right now is a piece that makes me lag in CS even though i have a 24ping.

I would go for the Geforce 3 definatley

thought they are $$$ they are the best !!

Geforce 3's the best? http://gamershq.madonion.com/ Looks to me like Radeon 8500 is beating the Gf3 even with its extremely screwed up drivers. if ATI improves the drivers even more, the Radeon 8500 will kill the GF3 even more easily

First question that should be asked is what kind of video card, ram, and cpu do you have? You won't nessicarily need a GF3 to get a decent framerate in CS. Sure a GF3 or a Radeon 8500 would be nice, but you could probably get a used GF2 or Radeon for 1/4 of the price.

Thats true Kr0m. maybe we should ask cky if price is an issue. And, nevermind, GeForce 3 ti500 is waaaay better than the Radeon8500 cuz u can easily change it to a Quadro DCC(a 750USD card) and get 10-15% gain in OpenGL games(RTCW, CS, etc)
