Default Thinking of Purchasing a legal version of Adobe Photoshop

I'm thinking of purchasing a legal version of Adobe Photoshop CS 4 (right now I'm using a trial version) but it's too expensive for me. Is there a way for me to get a discount since I'm a college student? My school doesn't have any program that I'm aware of but I've found other programs online that claim to offer it for a discounted price. Anyone know any legit one?

adobe will sell you a student version direct. All you need is a tutor to sign some paperwork proving you are a student.

Most of those places will allow for the student discount, you will have to verify your student status, though. They have ways of doing this so you don't have to give out personal information.

Most of the time, you will be able to ftp the download, you might have to pay an additional fee if you want a hard copy.

I have used this site, and I believe the MSN dreamspark giveaways use it also.

All my classes are online but I'll wait till I start my web-design courses and see if my instructor can provide me with anything.

Thanks for that link. It looks like it's $200 but even that seems too much to pay for Adobe Photoshop. I know it can't get any cheaper but I'll probably keep installing the trial version until one day I win a Adobe giveaway of some sort.

considering retail is over $1000, $200 is a bargain

I'm seriously planning on purchasing the entire CS4 suite as well, as I'm a student as well. It's much cheaper and it seems like an excellent deal. I'd say go for it!

20.1 inch HP Pavilion HDX Dragon
Vista Ultimate 64-bit Service Pack 2 and Windows 7 Build 7000
Intel Core2 Extreme X9000 (2.80 GHz, 6 MB cache) | 4 GB DDR2 RAM 2 DIMM | 512 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTS | 500 GB HDD (2 x 250 GB, 5400 rpm)

All thanks to OSNN, HP and BuzzCorps!

It depends on the product and a few other things, usually as far as I know almost half price.

It's a lot more than that actually. Up to 80% of the price off.
