Default Frontpage Webdesign

Hi Guys.

I have been building websites for a wee while now although at an amature level, I have a personal one and also have been doing one for the local community council.
I have been redoing the council one and am having probs in the size of the layout, as my screen resolution is quite big I have no prob,em viewing the sites I do, but people with smaller resolutions such as 800 x 600 cant view it properly.
Most pages resize to the individuals browser size, however I caont get the home page to do this, everytime you open the site it doesnt resize to the browser size.
Anyone any idea how to make the homepage resize to the indivudual browsers sizes?

You need to use percentages for sizing information

one way to check resolutions is to use the Firefox WebDeveloper toolbar and tell it you want to resize to 800x600

Thanks for that,, but the main problem is when you narow down a browser, normaly a webpage will alter its size and payout so that when you shrink a browser it still fits, where as with mine when you narrow a browser the webpage doesnt, also means peopkle with 800 x 600 have to slide the browser from side to side to read it all...

Are you using tables? CSS? Frames *shudder*? are you setting specific width sizes? Do you have images without resizing them? etc.. etc.. etc..
