I have a Rosewill RNX-NX4 wireless draft N/gigabit router. It's a about a year old and has served me well. Last week I upgraded my Comcast to 20mbit service. All was great until a couple of days ago... Connected straight to the modem, I still get about 17mbit sustained. I was seeing that thru the router too but now it seems to max out around 8mbit plus the ping is up around 68ms. It doesn't matter which computer I have connected to it or which gigabit port it's connected to.

These routers a known to run hot (mine does but is well ventilated) and many have died early deaths... Think it's time to try to RMA with newegg?

One thing you could try is reset the router to factory settings, reconfigure it and see if it still gives you the same trouble.

Then when you call for RMA, you can tell them you did that and by doing that, it will be easier for you to get the RMA imo

I guess I don't have anything to lose by resetting it.

BTW, I checked and purchased this in Nov 2008 so Newegg RMA is out of the question. I would have to deal with Rosewill directly as it has a 5 year warranty.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
