It doesn't appear that the motherboard is identified on that list. It is possible that Compaq does not use standard motherboards.
BTW, this is a link to Compaq's memory configuration page for your computer: http://www.orderingmemory.com/compaq...-AOK&x=13&y=11 As you can see from this page and from the Crucial page you can use either PC133 or PC100 memory in your computer. |

Open up the computer and check the actual hardware itself. You never know if it has a tag on it pasted on it.

Did you try that program I mentioned before? Just put it on a bootable disk, boot from it and run ctbios.exe > ctbios.txt. It will then create a text-file, which you could post if you cannot find the correct info. But it should be clear enough, even in German.

OK, on bootdisk.com you can get bootdisks, but it's much easier to make one yourself. Put a floppy in, go to My Computer and rightclick on your A-drive. Select Formatting... and select Make an MS-DOS bootdisk > OK. Unzip the file and add it to the bootdisk. Then use it to boot your computer. If it does not boot from the floppy, you may have to adjust your bootsequence in the BIOS so it will read the Floppy first.

Eve,
I think your best bet is to goto your local PC shop, I wouldnt advise trying anything yourself unless you are 100% Plus the shop should be able to know what ram you have what else you could add and will do it all for you. I think thats best Eve. Stuy_b |
