Default Vista thinks Master SATA is SCSI drive

I have a fresh install of Vista Home Premium. The main drive is a SATA drive in which it is partitioned in two. C drive and E drive. C drive is where vista resides. Now i have the "Safely remove hardware" icon in the taskbar, when i click it i get the choice to "shutdown the SCSI HDD" which is the SATA master. This drive is not a SCSI, can i remove it from this menu incase any of the kids try to remove it instead of their usb pen drives. And why has it shown up like this?????

Depending on the drivers installed this is normal.

Look in device manager and I bet your SATA drive shows up as SCSI there as well. Installed any driver updates lately?
