Default wireless router in domain as access point?

Hey All,

I presently have a really good wireless router being used in a domain. This router is being used just as a firewall router as the Domain Controller is the DHCP/DNS server.

I was wondering if I can use the router as an AP controlled by the DC so I can use the laptops, or am I forced to buy a dedicated AP and hook it up to one of the switches in the network

The router is a Netgear FWG114P

Thanks,

Heeter

Not really sure I understand what you are asking - what do you mean by using it as an AP controlled by the DC so you can use the laptops?
