Default Re: ATI HDMI-HDCP Card On Way

A shame it won't let you record DRM protected multimedia (which will include most HD broadcast and pre-recorded media). ATI announced they started incorporating copy protection into their products last fall.

I bought a DVD player/VHS recorder last winter that won't let me copy a pre-recorded DVD to VHS so I can watch it in the bedrooms where I don't have DVD players.

Gotta love this DRM stuff it has discouraged me from buying any more of the newer products out there.

Thought for the new millenium:

In a world without walls and fences, who needs Windows and Gates?
