Mobo (sata) CPU MEM H/D (sata) DVD -+ RW Case (i hate fancy cases, i want it to be stylish ( so no stupid dragon pictures ))Soundcard Keyboard and mouse If i've left anything out let me know. The budget ok, i'm starting with $800 could be a little more if its needed. But thats what i'd like to shoot for. The reason behind the build is primarily for games. So it needs to be aimed at that. Thanks oh and happy shopping. I'll send the best design $50 either by paypal or money order through the post. Hey you don't get that every day ![]() oh and only people with 20 posts or more are eligable for the prize. |

Since "gaming" depends heavily on the video card, processor, and ram there are too many variables. I would think 800 would be more workable if we were takling about dollars. |

It also depends on what video card you have. What video card do you have? But here is what i was thinking.......
GIGABYTE "GA-K8NF-9" NVIDIA nForce4 4X Chipset Motherboard For AMD Socket 939 CPU -RETAIL $118 AMD Athlon 64 3200+, 512KB L2 Cache, Socket 939 64-bit Processor - Retail $190 Seagate 160GB Barracuda 7200.7 7200RPM SATA with NCQ Hard Drive, Model ST3160827AS, OEM $106 Geil Ultra Series Value Dual Channel Kit 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 w/ Blue Heatspreader -Retail $106 RAIDMAX Silver Mid-Tower Gaming Case with 350W Power Supply, Model "ATX-268WSP" -RETAIL $44 Logitech RED Performance Optical Mouse PS2/ USB, Model "MX510" -RETAIL $ 28 Logitech Media Keyboard PS/2 104 keys -RETAIL $20 Sony Internal 16X DVD+/-RW / Double Layer Drive Black, Model DW-D22A-B2, OEM $56 Total = 646 - Well worth the money but if you need to drop that 46 bucks we can downgrade the ram to 512 Oh you upped the price to $800, I think for 600 intended on your orignal buget that this is fine. Its not worth you stressing out over the extra money for better parts. All you would get for the extra money is a better processor that you will not even notice. |

Well, I am pretty sure this is a april fools joke.. but I took the time to do this anyway. Took about 20 minutes I have you a system coming in at 774.81 After Tax and shipping. I have attached a open office Spreadsheet with the specs.
note: I had to put it into a rar file for it to let me upload it. just extract it. Also inside that rar file is an Excel compatible version. I hope you like it... and I know I am gonna hear... "APRIL FOOLS! HAHAAH" or something like that.

Is it a AGP or PCI-Express card?
Also, did you look at the specs I provided? |

I got cheap on the sound and used the onboard.

Or, I'd recommend you screw me out of the $50 and put it towards a sound card or the 3500 processor though the 3500 will bust your budget by ~10%. Pay someone at OSNN for coming up with a cheap, quality, system. Hell that's our lives. (Sad isn't it. )I could shave the price further but you're a regular and I didn't want to short you on quality. |

Well damn, no plexiglas. Any other last minute requirements changes you want to throw in to piss off engineering? You must be in management!
Fine then use this one you plexiglas bigot! http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduc...200-023&DEPA=1 and it's $5 cheaper. ![]() And in what way is a $100 case compatible with the request for a $600 system? Edit: Newegg has the corsair down to $88 on todyas one day special. |
