Default Monitor in standby

I've assembled some new hardware, Asus A8N SLi Deluxe, AMD64 3.2, Asus 6600 GT and 2x512 Kingston.

When I turned on the pc the monitor stays in standby mode. I checked memories in my old pc and they work fine.

Any one knows what could be the problem?

Have you tried another GFX card in place of the 6600GT? A less powerfull one which works may point the finger at your PSU.

Commodore 64 | 6510 - 0.985 MHz CPU | 64KB RAM | 20 KB ROM | VIC II Graphics 320 x 200, 16 + 16 border colours | SID Sound 3 voices, 9 octaves, 4 waveforms | 300 bps Tape Interface | External PSU | Blistering Fast!!!

I bought a Be Quiet! 420W so i think i dont have probs with power, and i can't test with other video card because i only have that with PCI-E.

Are all the fans spinning up and staying on when you power up the system?

I've not used a PCI-E card but perhaps it could be a bios setting?
