I'm assuming it's a 7200rpm drive?
The whining is normal, that's the drive spinning up. As for the clicks, I wouldn't say that is normal. Clicking is normally a bad sign for a drive. |

I was just kinda assuming that it was normal to hear that during it's shutdown routine. Anyone else have any insight on the issue?

hi mate, i have 4 250gb drives of the sata breed all 7200's and they all do exactly that, now i panicked and asked the manufacturer about it and they said its perfectly normal. so dont panic.
