Default Help with a Gateway Computer
I am trying to fix my friends computer. I loads up to the gateway screen and just sits there. I tried switching hard drives. I am guessing that it is the Bios. Is there a way to flash the bios on a gateway?

Aren't gateways & such suppose to have a recovery disk?

If not set the bios to boot the xp cd first, boot up then follow the screen to the repair option or last know good configuration.

i think its ALT+F8 to flash the biso but you need the new bios or upgrade on a disk. trying hitting the F2 key or the delete key to get into the bios, start hitting it right before it gets to that Gateway logo screen.
