Default western digital or samsung?

i have 2 new drives commming and i would like to know what one would be better for a primary HDD, i got them both free the first one is
samsung 40 gb 7200rpm

and other one is a WD 40gb 7200rpm
pretty sure it is this one

Samsung definitely have not got the pedigree of Western Digital, ? this is the WD Caviar model.

IMO, I reckon WD is better, because I have not tried out Samsung drives as yet. Also, there is alot of praise out there for WD drives.
