Hey guys... I need help and I need it fast... can anyone point out a few sites whereby I can get information about the disadvantages and advantages of the AMD processors and Intel processors... I know that the forums may contain these information but,

1. I'm in a kinda rush here... need to get a report rushed out pronto

2. I'll need to submit a list of website references along with the report

ANY and ALL assistance would be MOST appreciated! Thanks guys...

Yeah well... my report homework entails having to do research on Internet Web-sites and submitting them as part of my report. I also have to list sources and references... bah~

Cool

Well techinically he IS doing research. He does it by accessing the best source of this kind of information he knows, NTFS.org. He'll still need to read through the sites provided for further info.

Right?

True enough.. Google has some information... but it throws me lots of stuff that I don't really need (i.e. Cyrix V.S. Intel/AMD)... crappy sites galore...

Check this out: http://www6.tomshardware.com/cpu/20030210/barton-13.html
AMD's website has a certain amount of vested interests in the comparisons they make.

My personal preferences aside:

Intel for Business/Office Applications because of stability and compatibilty (some of the engineering software I use doesn't play well with AMD)

AMD for gaming when tweaked properly(this can be argued to no end I know because I usually am on the other side of the fence) because they are easier to OC but out of box have much less performace than Intel, plus DDR works better with AMD and is cheaper, but RAMBUS RAM makes Intel's fly but is very pricy.
