I posed a question some time ago and have just been able to revisist the offending machine. A kind sole offered to take a look if I was able to post the 'blue screen' error message. XP crashes and reboots after selecting any one of the stored profiles, with the following....

Beginning dump o physical memory.


I can get into Safe Mode but Event Viewer gives me little to go on either.

If anyone can decipher the above I would be eternally grateful.

Found it....moved the RAM module to a different position and reseated all the cards.
