Default question about bios setting...

i recently updated my bios. I have an old P3 550. The new bios has a setting "Main Clock Speed" and the options "normal" (100mhz) and "103mhz". When I set it to 103mhz, windows reads my processor as running at 566mhz instead of 551. It gives a small performance increase, but not enough to risk damaging my PC as I can't upgrade right now. Would it be safe to set it to 103mhz and leave it? I don't have "xp-erience" with overclocking. Thanks for any help.

When the manufacturer gives you an option like that you can be sure it's safe... 15mhz is pretty safe...

Try getting 218mhz more ... Now that's NOT safe...
