Default notebook hdd sensor and details fail

hello osnn, me again

i got a problem with my notebook's hd... as i was checking for temps on my HD using CPUID Hwmonitor it doesnt show my hd temps so i downloaded speedfan, and other hd temp monitor but really wont show any temps.. last temp i checked is was hours ago and was 34 degrees Celsius, my hd never reached a temp of 38 degrees Celcius...

on my notebooks hd:
i can see and access the hd/partitions on My Computer
i can see the hd in Bios,
i can see and access the hd in command prompt..
i checkdisk on boot but no bad sectors or other drive errors
i defrag the hd and find no errors
i can use all partitions just like a 100% working hd
i dont hear any unusual hd sound on the notebook

the problem:
i cant view the temps on the hd
i cant see the hd/partitions on the Device Manager
i cant see the hd on the Disk Manager
i cant see the manufacturer details on the drives properties
i found a virus on Temp folder during boot but cleaned it already
my highjackthis give me an error "your system denied write access to the Hosts file" and "modMain_CheckOther1Item()" before completing the scan.

im using asus eeepc 1201n
windows 7 OS
hitachi 250gb hd

if this hd is dying then i need to backup every file now...
